Case Study: etc.venues Manchester

The Brief

The first in Manchester, a new frontier for etc.venues. We were briefed with giving the venue an identity. One that stood out from the competition, but appealed to the new marketplace in the city.

The Solution

After a tour of the venue, walks around the city and research into the hospitality sector within Manchester, we discovered a clear position that etc.venues could place themselves in. Two things are clear in Manchester, a deep routed musical culture and a long standing association with the worker bee. Both of these elements are heavily used within the marketing of the city, so we took a different stance, but still nodding back to this rich heritage. We were clear we needed to be different, but also engage with the heartbeat of the city.

The Results

Our creative team produced a striking look and unique feel for the venue. A clear colour palette, tone and wonderful use of a honeycomb design (a nod to the worker bee). This creative blueprint was then applied to the venue interior, digital media, exhibition stand and other marketing materials. Feedback was outstanding.
